Williams began his NHL career in 2000-01 with the Flyers where he played for parts of 4 seasons before joining Carolina for parts of 5 more, including their Stanley Cup winning squad in 2006. Williams next spent parts of 7 years playing for the LA Kings and was a key ingredient to the Kings winning 2 Stanley Cups over a 3-year span. In fact, Williams was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner in 2013-14 as the playoff MVP thanks to his timely goal scoring as he netted 9 goals and 24 points during that historic playoff run. Williams next spent two seasons playing in Washington alongside Alex Ovechkin and Co. before returning to Carolina to begin the 2017-18 campaign, After 2 final seasons with the Hurricanes, Williams decided to call it a career after 2018-19 season.
