Description
John Leclair Philadelphia Flyers Orange Sher-Wood Game Used Stick – Autographed – Team Letter
Lot #786
This Sher-Wood ETS 7.1 hockey stick was game used by John Leclair while playing for the Philadelphia Flyers during the 2002-03 season. With better than 400 goals to his credit, Leclair clearly established himself as one of the best power forwards of the 1990’s. Leclair, who is a St. Albans Vermont native, began his career with the Montreal Canadiens in 1991-92. During his second season in the league, John’s timely playoff scoring helped lead the underdog Canadiens to a Stanley Cup championship. John partook in numerous NHL All Star games and was 5-times either a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star at Left Wing.
After his trade to Philadelphia in 1994, Leclair formed a terrorizing duo on the Legion of Doom line alongside Eric Lindros for much of the remainder of the 1990’s, wreaking havoc on opponents. He tabbed 50 goals in 3 consecutive seasons and followed them with a couple of 40-goal years before a back injury began taking its toll. Leclair represented Team USA in the 1996 World Cup of hockey, where he was voted a World Cup All Star, as well as in the Olympics. Also to his credit are 2 Bud Ice Plus/Minus awards.

This orange Sher-Wood hockey stick has the player name “Leclair” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. John has autographed the heel. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition. This stick will be accompanied by a Flyers team letter.
