Description
John Davidson St. Louis Blues Victoriaville Game Issued Stick
Lot #315
This Victoriaville stick was game issued for John Davidson while playing for the St. Louis Blues. The St. Louis Blues selected Davidson with the 5th overall pick in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft. Davidson was the first goalie in history to jump directly from junior hockey to the NHL, suiting up for the Blues in 1973-74 for the first time. Standing at a hulking 6’3” tall, J.D took up plenty of room between the pipes. He spent a decade guarding the NHL nets, the first 2 of those seasons with the Blues and the remaining 8 with the New York Rangers, retiring prematurely due to injury in 1982-83. J.D.’s finest hour came as he led his Rangers to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1979. Following his career, Davidson became a famed broadcaster spending 20 plus years in the business. He then took over as the President of Hockey Operations for the St. Louis Blues in 2006 and has held executive positions with the Blues, Blue Jackets and Rangers.

This Victoriaville stick has the player name “J Davidson” stamped on the side. It is un-taped and shows no use. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
