These black hockey skates by Bauer were game worn by Johan Hedberg while playing for the Kentucky Thoroughblades during the 1999-00 season and in pre-season for the San Jose Sharks. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Hedberg in the 9th round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. Hedberg was traded to the San Jose Sharks in 1998, playing in pre-season and also playing for their AHL affiliate in Kentucky. This Swedish native began his NHL career with Pittsburgh in 2000-01. He went on to a career that spanned over a decade, tending goal on behalf of the Penguins, Canucks, Stars, Thrashers and Devils.
These black bauer skates have the player name “Hedberg” taped to the bottom. Johan has autographed each in silver sharpie. Shown above is a photo of Johan holding these exact skates.
