Joey Kocur Detroit Red Wings White Vic Game Used Stick – Autographed
Lot #489

This white Vic 6050 hockey stick was game used by Joey Kocur while playing for the Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings selected Kocur in the 5th round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. Kocur made his debut with Detroit during the 1984-85 season, playing an abbreviated 17 game schedule. In 1985-86, Joe dressed for only 59 games, but made the league take notice as he racked up a career best 377 PIMS! The very next season, Joe toned things down a bit compiling ‘only’ 276 PIMS. And on it went; during his first 7 seasons in the Motor City he continued to terrorize the league alongside his Bash Brother teammate Bob Probert. In 1991, Kocur was dealt to the Rangers where he would spend his next 5 years. He did temper the bad boy act a bit on Broadway and was part of the Rangers Stanley Cup winning team in 1994. After New York it was off to Vancouver for 7 games and then back to Detroit where Joe played his final 3 seasons. In 821 career games over 15 seasons, Kocur racked up 2519 PIMS, placing him top-20 all-time. He will long be remembered as one of the fiercest fighters of his generation.

This white Vic stick has the player name “Kocur” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Joey has autographed the heel. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
