Description
Joel Quenneville New Jersey Devils Red CCM Game Worn Gloves Devils Inaugural Season
Lot #387

These red hockey gloves by CCM were game worn by Joel Quenneville while playing for the New Jersey Devils during their inaugural season of 1982-83. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Quenneville in the 2nd round of the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft. Joel began his career with the Leafs and during his 2nd season was dealt to the Colorado Rockies. This blueliner spent parts of 3 years with the Rockies and moved with the franchise to New Jersey where he played in the Devils inaugural season. Quenneville next spent 7 years with the Hartford Whalers before spending a final season with the Washington Capitals.

Since retiring, Quenneville has become one of the most successful and recognizable head coaches of the modern era having lead the Chicago Blackhawks to their first Cup in half a century in 2010 and then winning 2 more Stanley Cups in 2012-13 and 2014-15. Joel is now in his 11th season behind the Blackhawks bench.

These red CCM gloves have the player number “6” written lightly inside the right love. The gloves show solid game use.
