Joe Sakic Team Canada Black Easton Game Used Stick
Lot #425
This black Easton Stealth hockey stick was game used by Hall of Famer Joe Sakic while playing for Team Canada during the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. The Nordiques selected Sakic in the 1st round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft and Joe spent all 20 of his NHL seasons playing for the same franchise, the first 8 in Quebec and the final 12 in Colorado. Sakic will go down as the greatest in franchise history, having compiled staggering career statistics, which place him among the game’s all-time elite. Joe scored 625 goals, 1016 assists and 1641 career points, placing him top 10 in the history of the sport. His playoff totals are no less impressive, having produced better than a point per game with nearly 200 for his career, placing him in rare company.

Joe’s hardware includes the Lester B. Pearson award as the NHL’s outstanding player, the Lady Byng trophy for the combination of sportsmanship and high ability, the Hart Memorial Trophy as league MVP and the Conn Smythe trophy as playoff MVP. He was also the winner of an Olympic Gold Medal in addition to 2 Stanley Cup rings. Sakic was 3-times a 1st Team NHL All Star and played in 12 NHL All Star games as well as 2 World Cups and 3 Olympics. Spending an entire career as part of one franchise is a rarity in today’s era and forever earns him the title of “The Franchise”. This man is already assured of a place among the all-time greats in the Hockey Hall of Fame, sadly we can no longer watch him perform his artistry.

This black Easton hockey stick has the player name “Sakic” on the side. Also on the side is the name “Canada” with the Canadian Flag. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
