Description
Joe Murphy Edmonton Oilers Koho Game Used Stick Stanley Cup Season
Lot #465
This Joe Murphy hockey stick was acquired with the complete team set from every player on the 1990 Stanley Cup Champion Edmonton Oilers. Our consignor received these sticks personally after a game during that cup-winning season.

This Koho hockey stick was game used by Joe Murphy while playing for the Edmonton Oilers during the 1989-90 Stanley Cup winning season. The Detroit Red Wings selected Murphy with the 1st overall pick in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey at Michigan State University and leading them to an NCAA Division 1 Championship, Murphy joined the Red Wings and began his NHL career in 1986-87. After parts of 4 years in Detroit, Murphy was dealt to the Edmonton Oilers in 1989-90 and preceded to win a Stanley Cup later that spring. Murph spent 3 years with the Oilers before beginning a 4-year stint with the Chicago Blackhawks. Joe finished up his career with time in St. Louis, San Jose, Boston and Washington.

This Koho hockey stick has the player name “Murphy” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
