Jarome Iginla Calgary Flames CCM Game Worn Skates Worn in 2008-09 Photo Match Team Letter
Lot #531

These black hockey skates by CCM were game worn by Hall of Famer Jarome Iginla while playing for the Calgary Flames during the 2008-09 NHL season. The Dallas Stars selected Iginla in the 1st round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to ever suiting up for the Stars, the Calgary Flames dealt Joe Nieuwendyk to Dallas in exchange for the young talent. Iginla made his NHL debut with Calgary during the 1996 playoffs. It was his first of 17 seasons wearing the Flames colors, a place where he sported the “C” for 9 seasons and established numerous franchise records. He then moved on to represent the Penguins, Bruins, Avalanche and Kings before retiring after 21 NHL seasons. During that time, this talented winger scored 625 goals and added 675 assists for 1300 points. Iginla twice led the NHL in goals, winning the Rocket Richard Trophy in 2001-02 and 2003-04. He was also the NHL’s leading scorer and outstanding player in 2001-02 and thus was awarded the Art Ross Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award. Jarome was four times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star who played in 6 NHL All Star Games. On the international stage, Iginla represented Team Canada in the World Championships, the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and three Olympics. Iginla was awarded the highest honor, being elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame with the class of 2020.

These black CCM skates have the player name “Iginla Jarome” on the bottom as well as the date “11/17/08”. Shown above are a couple of photo matches of Iginla wearing these exact skates during the 2008-09 season. The skates show solid game use and will be accompanied by a Flames team letter.
