The Philadelphia Flyers selected Van Riemsdyk with the 2nd overall pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. This Middletown, NJ native played his college hockey at the University of New Hampshire before joining the Flyers at just 20 years of age in 2009-10. This burgeoning Left Winger spent 3 seasons wearing a Flyers uniform, prior to being dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs this past off-season for Luke Schenn.
