J.P. Parise Autographed B&W Postcard Deceased
Lot #590

Parise played 17 NHL seasons for the Maple Leafs, North Stars, Islanders and Barons. After making his debut with the Bruins and playing in only 21 Games over 2 seasons, Parise was drafted by the Oakland Seals in the 1967 Expansion Draft. He was then traded to the Maple Leafs where he appeared in only 1 game. He was on the move again in December 1967, this time to the North Stars. Mostly know as a North Star, Parise played parts of 9 seasons in Minnesota. During this time, Parise became a star, playing in 2 NHL All Star games and being named to Team Canada for the 1972 Summit Series against the Russians, where he played in 6 of the 8 games.

Parise joined the Islanders in 1975 and went on to be one of the key players who led the Isles to not only their 1st playoff birth, but all the way to the Stanley Cup Semi-Finals where the Islanders lost a 7-game hard fought battle to the Stanley Cup Champion Flyers. Parise’s final 2 stops where in Cleveland for ½ season and back to the comforts of Minnesota for his final season of 1978-79. J.P is the father of NHL superstar Zach Parise. Parise passed away on January 7, 2015 of lung cancer at the age of 73.

Our consignor went to a hockey game every night and had all autographs signed personally. The postcard and signature is beautiful.
