Lot #299
GAMEWORNAUCTIONS.NET is pleased to present The Michel Goulet Collection. This exciting collection of game worn jerseys, game used sticks, game worn equipment and memorabilia come directly from the personal collection of Hockey Hall of Famer, Michel Goulet. Mr. Goulet personally collected and preserved these items over the course of his legendary NHL career. A signed letter from Mr. Goulet will accompany your purchase.

This red Montreal Canadiens replica jersey was personally signed by Hall of Famer Guy Lafleur. The Montreal Canadiens ensured the continuation of their dominance over the NHL when they selected Guy Lafleur with the 1st overall pick in the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft. Lafleur would go on to establish himself as one of the all-time greats in the history of the sport. He is so recognized in the revered ‘The Hockey News’ book from the 1990’s that ranked the 50 greatest players in NHL history. Guy was honored as the 11th greatest player in NHL history in that prestigious publication.

His numerous career accomplishments include 6 NHL All Star appearances, 6 consecutive 1st Team NHL All Star selections, spanning 1975-1980, the 1977-78 plus/minus award, the 1977 Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP, 3 Art Ross Trophies for leading the NHL in scoring, 3 Lester B. Pearson Awards as the NHL’s outstanding player and 2 Hart Trophies as the NHL’s MVP.

In the 6-year period between 1974-75 and 1979-80, Lafleur was the face not only of the Montreal Canadiens, but also of the entire NHL as he flat out dominated the sport. Guy netted 50 goals or more in each of those 6 consecutive seasons. During that period, he averaged 54 goals, 74 assists and 128 points per season. In 1126 regular season games Guy totaled 560 goals, 793 assists and 1353 points. In 128 playoff contests, Lafleur tallied another 58 goals and 134 points. He won 5 Stanley Cups in the 7-year period from 1973-1979 and helped his Montreal Canadiens to dynasty status with 4 consecutive Stanley Cup titles from 1976-1979. Guy is the all-time leading scorer in the great history of the Montreal Canadiens and his number 10 has been retired to the rafters.

This red Canadiens jersey, size L, has the player name “Lafleur” on the back. The player number “10” is on both sides and the back. Guy has autographed the back player number 0. This fresh to the hobby example comes directly from the personal collection of Michel Goulet and will be accompanied by his signed LOA.
