Description
Gary Dornhoefer Philadelphia Flyers Sher-Wood Game Used Stick Autographed
Lot #463
This Sher-Wood PMP hockey stick was game used by Gary Dornhoefer while playing for the Philadelphia Flyers. “Dorny” began his NHL career with the Boston Bruins in 1963-64 and spent the first 3 years of his 14-year NHL career in Beantown. As the NHL expanded from 6 to 12 teams in 1967, Dornhoefer became an original member of the Philadelphia Flyers and played there for the remainder of his career, 11 years all told. Dorny was twice an NHL All Star in representation of the Flyers in the 1970’s and put forth a career best 30 goals and 79 points in Philly in 1972-73. Known to have the sharpest elbows of his generation, Gary compiled 1291 PIMS in 787 games played. Of course Dorny was an integral member of the famed Broad Street Bullies who went to 3 straight Stanley Cup Finals and walked away with a pair of rings that came in 1974 and 1975. After retiring, Dornhoefer became one of the most popular broadcasters around, working with Hockey Night in Canada and of course the Philadelphia Flyers organization where he is still revered to this day.

This Sher-Wood hockey stick has the player number and name “12 Dornhoeffer” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Gary has autographed the blade. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
