Foster Hewitt Matted & Framed Autographed Presentation Piece - Deceased
Lot #416
Foster Hewitt was Canada’s premier hockey play-by-play broadcaster for over 40 years. He was the voice of Hockey Night in Canada on radio and television and continued to provide color commentary after passing the torch to his son Bill Hewitt in 1958. He broadcast exclusively on radio after 1963. Foster came out of retirement to broadcast the 1972 Summit Series against the Russians. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1965. Foster died in April of 1985 at the age of 82.

This beautiful 28 x 18 matted and framed presentation piece features Foster’s famous “He shoots, he scores” at the top. A photo of Foster at the mike is on the left while a photo of the old Maple Leaf Garden is on the right. In the center if a very nice 3 x 5 cut.
