Lot #317
GAMEWORNAUCTIONS.NET is pleased to present The Michel Goulet Collection. Mr. Goulet personally collected and preserved these items over the course of his legendary NHL career. A signed letter from Mr. Goulet will accompany your purchase.

This Koho Silverfibre 2211 hockey stick was game used by Esa Tikkanen while playing for the Edmonton Oilers. Tikkanen, from Helsinki Finland, was drafted by the Oilers in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. He began his NHL career in Edmonton during the 1985 Stanley Cup playoffs and played most of 8 seasons with the Oilers before a trade sent him to the Rangers in 1992-93. After a season+ on Broadway, Tikkanen played for the Blues, Devils, Canucks, Rangers again, Panthers, Caps and then a 3rd stint on Broadway before going overseas to complete his career.

Tikkanen was a feisty player whose best years were with the Oilers. He was a 3-times a 30-goal scorer, all with Edmonton. He also won 4 of his 5 Stanley Cups with the Oilers in 1985, 1987, 1988, and 1990. His final Stanley Cup was with the 1994 New York Rangers.

On the International stage, Tikkanen played for Finland in the World Junior Championships, World Championships and the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano where he won a bronze medal with his Finnish teammates.

This Koho stick has the player name “Tikkanen” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Esa has autographed the heel. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition. This fresh to the hobby example comes directly from the personal collection of Michel Goulet and will be accompanied by his signed LOA.
