These red hockey gloves by Nike/Bauer were game worn by Eric Staal while playing for the Carolina Hurricanes. The Carolina Hurricanes selected Staal with the 2nd overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Daft. This Thunder Bay, Ontario native began his NHL career with the Canes in 2003-04 and spent the next dozen seasons at center ice in Carolina. Staal joined the New York Rangers at the deadline in 2016 and just started his fourth season with the Minnesota Wild. Staal has scored over 400 goals and almost 1000 points thus far in his career. He is a 3-time 40-goal scorer who set career bests in all three scoring categories in 2005-06 when he scored 45 goals and added 55 helpers for a total of 100 points and earned 2nd Team NHL All Star honors in the process. Staal has played in 5 NHL All Star Games and won the Stanley Cup in 2006. On the international stage, Staal has represented Team Canada in the World Championships and the Olympics where he won gold in 2010.

These red Nike/Bauer gloves have the player name and number “Staal 12” stitched on the cuff. Eric has autographed both gloves on the wrist. Our consignor acquired these gloves directly from Hurricanes equipment manager Wally Tatomir.
