Ed Westfall Boston Bruins Sher-Wood Game Used Stick 1970-71 Team Signed Bobby Orr

This Sher-Wood Pattern Pro hockey stick was game used by Ed Westfall while playing for the Boston Bruins during the 1970-71 NHL season. Westfall began his NHL career with the Boston Bruins in 1961-62. He remained with the Bruins for 11 years and won 2 Stanley Cups while playing alongside Orr, Espo and the rest of the gang before being chosen by the New York Islanders in the 1972 expansion draft. Westfall spent the final 7 years of his career with the Islanders where he provided a steadying influence and served as their team Captain from 1972-77. Eddie won the 1977 Bill Masterton Trophy and played in 4 NHL All Star games spanning 1971-75. Westfall was inducted into the Islanders Hall of Fame in 2011.

This Sher-Wood stick has the player number and name “18 Westfall” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It has been signed by 20 members of the 1970-71 Bruins including Wayne Cashman, Gerry Cheevers, Phil Esposito, Ed Johnston, Ed Westfall, Bobby Orr, Fred Stanfield, Derek Sanderson, Dallas Smith, Ted Green, Ken Hodge, Garnett “Ace” Bailey (d. 2001), Mike Walton, Reg Leach, Don Marcotte, Wayne Carleton, Tom Johnson (d. 2007) and John Bucyk. The signatures and the stick are in beautiful condition.
