Early 1990's Yanick Jean Chicoutimi Sangueneens Game Worn Jersey - Rookie Era
Lot #289
This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Yanick Jean circa the early 1990’s as he began his playing career. The Washington Capitals selected Jean in the 5th round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. This Quebec native spent 4 seasons with Chicoutimi before spending 4 more in the ECHL. This defenseman regularly compiled significant PIM totals thanks to his tough style of play. Since leaving his playing days behind, Jean has become a long-standing successful head coach, first for Prince Edward Island and more recently for the Victoriaville Tigers.

The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a fight strap that has lost the battle to salt and rust and fine inner pilling. Fight abuse is readily evident at the front of the collar as seen by the stitch pops. A nice offering of this very popular head coach.
