This GM 21 catching glove by Cooper was game worn by Mike Liut while playing for the St. Louis Blues. Liut was drafted by the NHL St. Louis Blues and the WHA New England Whalers in their respective 1976 drafts. After 4 years at Bowling Green University, Liut played 2 years in the WHA with the Cincinnati Stingers. When the WHA merged with the NHL in 1979, the Blues reclaimed Liut’s rights. Mike went on to a solid 15 NHL career with the Blues, Whalers and Capitals. Liut won the Lester B. Pearson Award in 1981 and led the NHL in GAA in 1989-90.
Our consignor won this Cooper catching glove in a charity auction in 1983. The paperwork from that transaction will accompany your purchase.
