Description
Early 1980's John Paddock Maine Mariners Game Worn Jersey
Lot #188

This home white heavy mesh gamer was worn by John Paddock during the early 1980’s, while with the Maine Mariners of the AHL. Maine was the Philadelphia Flyers minor league affiliate during the era and John found himself with the big club on a few occasions over the course of several seasons.

In the true Broad Street Bullies tradition, Paddock dropped the gloves with the best of them, racking up the PIMS wherever he went. Following his playing days, Paddock went on to a long coaching career which began as head coach of the Mariners circa 1983-85. The next 4 years, John served as the Hershey Bears man in charge behind the bench. Later Paddock found himself behind the bench as the Winnipeg Jets head coach for 4 seasons. John also spent time in the GM’s office for the Jets before working with the NY Rangers and minor league affiliates.

The game wear on this sweater consists of a number of heavy stick marks in addition to a smattering of board burns and pilling. Nice vintage minor leaguer worn by this former Philadelphia Flyers bad boy.
