Early 1980ís Dennis Patterson Maine Mariners Game Worn Jersey
Lot #312

This home white mesh gamer was worn by Dennis Patterson circa the early 1980’s while skating for the AHL’s Maine Mariners. The Minnesota North Stars selected Patterson in the 3rd round of the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft. Patterson made his NHL debut in 1974-75 with the Kansas City Scouts where he played for a couple of years. A season later he joined the WHA and suited up for the Edmonton Oilers. Lastly, he was a member of the Philadelphia Flyers during their enthralling 1979-80 campaign that saw them run off a 35-game unbeaten streak. All the while, Patterson put together a 13-year AHL career that began with the Cleveland Barons in 1970 and ended with 6 seasons as a member of the Maine Mariners where he served as Team Captain, earned three All Star selections and two Calder Cup Championships.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. The game wear on this size M sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and a vented, torn and repaired front collar. A nameplate change is also worthy of mention. A beautiful example complete with the coveted letter of honor and worn by this three-time All Star and two-time Calder Cup Champion.
