Description
Early 1980's Anton Stastny Nordiques Game Worn Jersey
Lot #57

This home white knit gamer by Maska was worn by Anton Stastny during the early 1980’s. Anton, along with his Hall of Fame brother Peter, began their NHL careers in 1980-81 after defecting from Czechoslovakia. Older brother Marian was a year behind, as he did not defect from Czechoslovakia until June of 1981. Anton had a very successful career in the NHL playing alongside his brothers on their left wing. He scored 252 goals and 636 points in a mere 650 regular season games played, all as a member of the Quebec Nordiques franchise from 1980-1989.

The game wear on this vintage sweater is magnificent consisting of numerous stick marks and board burns, plenty of board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and pilling. This gamer has been well preserved and remains in very nice condition a quarter century after leaving the NHL ice.
