Early 1970's Walt Tkaczuk Rangers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #18
This road blue dureen tie-down gamer by Cosby was worn by Walt Tkaczuk during the early 1970’s. Tkaczuk was one of the most beloved Rangers of all-time, beginning his career in 1967-68 and remaining with the Rangers thru his retirement following the 1980-81 season. He was a solid 2-way center iceman, often given the task of shutting down the opponents’ star players. Walt managed 6 different 20+ goal seasons and tallied 227 career goals and 678 career points while earning an All Star berth in 1970.

Sewn perfectly to the collar of this dureen tie-down are the Cosby manufacturing and size tags. There are a fair number of heavy stick marks, un-repaired holes and interior pilling which perfectly match the outer wear on this sweater. This is a beautiful early example of one of the most beloved New York Rangers of all-time. Tkaczuk sweaters very rarely surface in the hobby, making this a tremendous opportunity to fill that long time hole in your collection.
