Perhaps the most beloved New York Ranger of all-time, Eddie, wearing his now retired player number 1, guarded the pipes at Madison Square Garden for over a decade. Prior to the arrival of teammate Gilles Villemure, Eddie assumed a huge workload and led the league in games played for 4 consecutive seasons. He led the league on 3 different occasions in shutouts and ended his career with an impressive 54 of them. Eddie also led the NHL in Wins 3 different times.

Giacomin played in 6 different All Star games and was 5-times recognized as a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star. To his credit is the 1971 Vezina Trophy.
