This Sher-Wood PMP 5052 hockey stick was game used by Doug Wilson during his rookie season of 1977-78. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Wilson with the 6th overall pick in the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft. Wilson played in 16 NHL seasons, spending the first 14 of them with the Hawks before becoming an original member of the San Jose Sharks in 1991-92. He won the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman in 1982 on the strength of a 39-goal, 85-point performance. Wilson was 3 times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star and played in 7 NHL All Star Games. Doug represented Team Canada in the 1984 Canada Cup and also played in Rendezvous ’87. In 1024 career games, Wilson netted 237 goals and 827 points.
