This Koho 221 Custom Pro hockey stick was game used by Don Murdoch while playing for the New York Rangers. The New York Rangers made Murdoch the 6th overall pick in the 1976 NHL Amatuer Draft. Murdoch debuted with the Rangers in 1976-77 and netted 32 goals as a rookie. He spent 4 years on Broadway and was an integral part of the Rangers trip to the 1979 Stanley Cup Finals. Murdoch next spent a couple of years with the Edmonton Oilers and wrapped up his NHL career with the Detroit Red Wings.
This Koho stick has the player name “Murdoch” stamped to the side. The player number “14” is written above the name in black marker. The stick is fully taped on the butt. Don used the stick without tape on the blade. The stick has a splintered chip out of the side but is otherwise in beautiful condition.
