This Sher-Wood PMP 5030 hockey stick was game used by Oilers enforcer Dave Semenko. Semenko began his career with the Edmonton Oilers in 1977-78 in the WHA. After 2 years in the WHA, Semenko and his Oilers joined the NHL in the 1979-80 expansion. He would suit up for the NHL Oilers for parts of 8 seasons before brief stays in Hartford and Toronto. Proudly known as Wayne Gretzky’s on ice bodyguard, Semenko provided protection and space for the greatest player to ever lace up the skates. Semenko won 2 Stanley Cups in 3 Finals appearances. In 575 NHL games, Semenko compiled 1175 PIMS. In 73 playoff contests he compiled another 208 PIMS, proving all the while that he would drop em’ with anyone.
This Sher-Wood hockey stick has the player number “27” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Dave has autographed the side. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
