Darcy Rota Vancouve Canucks White Canadien Game Used Stick - Autographed
Lot #681

This white Canadien 6001 hockey stick was game used by Darcy Rota while playing for the Vancouver Canucks. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Rota with the 13th pick in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft. Rota spent 6 seasons in Chicago before a blockbuster trade sent him to the Atlanta Flames in the spring of 1979 in exchange for Tom Lysiak among others. Merely one year later, the Flames saw fit to make Rota the principal in a deal with the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for their Captain, Don Lever. Darcy spent parts of 5 years in Vancouver and enjoyed a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1982. Rota set a career high in goals 42, assists 39 and points 81 in 1982-83 and led the NHL in shooting percentage that season. He also represented the Canucks in the 1984 NHL All Star game. Rota retired after suffering a serious neck injury that he was unable to recover from.

This white Canadien stick has the player name “Rota” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Darcy has autographed the side in pen. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
