Dale Hunter Washington Capitals White Sher-Wood Game Used Stick
Lot #542
This white Sher-Wood PMP 7000 hockey stick was game used by Dale Hunter while playing for the Washington Capitals. The Quebec Nordiques selected Hunter in the 2nd round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Hunter spent 7 years in Quebec City before joining the Washington Capitals. He then played for 12 seasons in front of the fans in the nation’s capitol. A deal at the trading deadline in the spring of 1999 sent Dale from the Capitals to the Avalanche where he spent the final 12 regular season and 19 playoff games of his career.

Hunter is the only player in the history of the NHL to have tallied 300 goals, 1000 points and 3500 PIMS. These impressive numbers are sure to garner consideration for Hall of Fame induction in the years to come. Hunter’s leadership abilities will never be questioned. He served as team Captain for both the Quebec Nordiques and the Washington Capitals during his 19-year NHL career. Since retiring, Hunter has used his leadership abilities well, serving as the head coach of the OHL’s London Knights for much of the past decade with time as the Capitals Head Coach also part of his recent resume. Dale ranks 2nd behind only Tiger Williams on the all-time PIMS list with 3565. For good measure, he spent another 729 minutes in the sin bin during the playoffs. Hunter will be remembered as one of the all-time great instigators, always finding a way to get under the skin of his opponents, while still possessing the talent to light the lamp.

This white Titan hockey stick has the player name and number “Hunter 32” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
