These black Bauer Vapor hockey skates were game worn by Dainius Zubrus while playing for the Washington Capitals. Zubrus was the Flyers 1st round draft pick in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft and as a rookie took part in the Flyers 1997 run to the Stanley Cup Finals. After leaving the Flyers, Zubrus played 2+ years for the Canadiens, 5+ seasons with the Capitals, a part of a season with the Sabres and the last 5 years with the New Jersey Devils. Zubrus is the 1st player of Lithuanion descent to play 1000 game in the NHL.
These black Bauer skates have the player number “9” written on the bottom in black marker. The skates were originally purchased directly from the Capitals and still have the Caps hologram sticker attached to one skate. Dainius has personally signed both skates in silver sharpie.
