Description
Craig MacTavish Edmonton Oilers White Sher-Wood Game Used Stick - Autographed
Lot #523
This Sher-Wood 9030 hockey stick was game used by Craig MacTavish while playing for the Edmonton Oilers. MacTavish began his NHL career with the Boston Bruins in 1979-80. He spent 5 years in Beantown before becoming a member of the Edmonton Oilers in 1985. Craig spent the next 9 seasons in Alberta where he captured 3 Stanley Cups. A trade at the deadline in 1994 sent MacTavish to the New York Rangers where he joined a number of his former Edmonton teammates. A few months later and Craig was parading down Broadway with the Stanley Cup in tow alongside Messier and the boys. Craig wrapped up his 1093 game NHL career with stops in Philadelphia and St. Louis. MacTavish was one of the better defensive forwards of his generation who excelled at killing penalties and shutting down the opposition. With a number of 20-goal seasons to his credit, Craig notched 213 goals and nearly 500 points in his career. He played in nearly 200 playoff contests and earned a spot on the 1996 NHL All Star Team.

This Sher-Wood hockey stick has the player name and number “MacTavish 14” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Craig has autographed the side. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
