Circa 1988-89 Sergei Zubov UCKA/Central Red Army Game Worn Jersey
Lot #208
This white mesh gamer by Cooper was worn by Sergei Zubov circa the 1988-89 season while skating for the Central Red Army. Zubov first wore this sweater during the European Cup and later wore it during play in the Russian League while skating for the CSKA. Zubov began his career with the New York Rangers in 1992-93 and in only his 2nd season played an integral role as the Rangers won the 1994 Stanley Cup. Following 3 seasons in New York and another in Pittsburgh, Zubov landed with the Dallas Stars. He would remain there for a dozen years before heading to Russia to continue his playing career a couple of years ago. While in Dallas, Zubov helped the franchise capture their first and only Stanley Cup. This high scoring defenseman scored 771 points in 1068 career games. He recorded a single season best of 89 with the Rangers during their Stanley Cup year. Sergei was 3-times an NHL All Star and also has a 2nd Team NHL All Star selection to his credit.

Sewn to the shoulders of this gamer are the sponsorship patches. The game wear on this size XL sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and heavy areas of pilling. Zubov has penned an autograph on the back of this gamer.
