This road blue knit gamer by Maska was worn by player number 5 while most likely skating for the Erie Golden Blades of the ACHL. This gamer has the Golden Blades color scheme, which they switched to after leaving the black and gold as an AHL affiliate of the Penguins in 1981-82. This jersey has been shown to a former Erie Panthers trainer who believed it was a first year Golden Blades from 1982-83. We haven’t had any luck finding photos to cooborate.

The game wear on this blue and gold jersey consists of some stick and slash marks, board burns and inner pilling. Removed from the inside was an old-school custom skate lace & coin style fight strap, the indentation of such burned forever into the knit fabric. There is no evidence of a player name ever being on the back of this gamer.
