Description
Circa 1964-67 Bill Armour Greensboro Generals Game Worn Jersey
Lot #574

We attribute this stunning road green dureen gamer to having been worn by Bill Armour circa the 1964-67 EHL seasons. The Generals came into existence in 1959-60 and remained in the now defunct EHL thru 1972-73. They were among the more successful EHL franchises. Armour represented the club from 1964 thru 1967 and is listed as having worn number 17 during that period of time.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. This vintage tie-down is simply hammered, likely having been worn during multiple seasons of play. There are stick marks, board burns, a few minor runs, washed out bloodstains, inner pilling and loads of team-sewn repairwork, approximately 40 all told of both the straight-stitch and material backed variety. Despite the incredible multi-year game use, this jersey remains in amazing shape, and can be considered a true condition rarity. Sweet almost 50-year old hammered gamer, complete with the ever-desirable letter of honor, choice!
