Lot #334
GAMEWORNAUCTIONS.NET is pleased to present The Michel Goulet Collection. This exciting collection of game worn jerseys, game used sticks, game worn equipment and memorabilia come directly from the personal collection of Hockey Hall of Famer, Michel Goulet. Mr. Goulet personally collected and preserved these items over the course of his legendary NHL career. A signed letter from Mr. Goulet will accompany your purchase.

This white Hespeler 8800 hockey stick was game used by Chris Simon while playing for the Colorado Avalanche. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Simon in the 2nd round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. He began his NHL career in Quebec in 1992-93 and remained with the franchise thru their move to Colorado in what was a Stanley Cup winning season. Simon next joined the Washington Capitals, where he spent 7 years and made another appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals. Other NHL stops include Chicago, New York where he appeared with the Rangers and Islanders, Calgary where he again went to the Cup Finals and Minnesota. After leaving the NHL, Simon spent several seasons playing in Russia’s KHL. This legendary enforcer took on all comers and ended his NHL career with 1824 PIMS. That total included a career high of 250 PIMS in his Cup winning season in Colorado. A fact that may surprise many is that Simon scored a career high 29-goals with the Capitals in 1999-00.

This white Hespeler stick has the player name “C Simon” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt. The blade tape has been removed so Chris could autograph it “To Vincent, Best Wishes, Your Friend, Chris Simon”. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition. This fresh to the hobby example comes directly from the personal collection of Michel Goulet and will be accompanied by his signed LOA.
