This perforated ticket sheet has 3 unused full tickets from the 1979 Challenge Cup played between the NHL and Soviet All Stars, which replaced the 1978-79 NHL All Star game.  Each ticket is for the Mezzanine area in tower C at gate 26 of Madison Square Garden.  The tickets sold in 1979 for $15.00 each.

The Challenge Cup replaced the 1978-79 All Star game and included NHL stars such as Lafleur, Robinson, Gainey, Shutt, Perreault, Dionne, Sittler, McDonald, Clarke, Trottier, Bossy, Gillies, Beck, Savard, Lapointe, Barber, Marcotte, T. Esposito, Dryden, Cheevers and Salming. The Soviet All Stars included Makarov, Petrov, Kharlamov and Tretiak.
