This beautiful Bob Dillon mask was painted for Cam Ward by Tony Jarrett while he was playing for the Carolina Hurricanes. Ward was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 1st round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. After a few seasons in the AHL, Cam made his NHL debut with the Hurricanes in 2005-06. After 13 seasons and over 300 Wins in Carolina, Cam joined the Chicago Blackhawks for the 2018-19 season. After the 2018-19 season was complete, he signed a 1-day contract with the Hurricanes and retired from the sport. Cam played in the NHL All Star game, won the 2006 Stanley Cup and has a Conn Smythe Trophy on his resume. He played for Canada in 3 World Championships, winning Gold in 2007.
This beautiful Bob Dillon mask has the player nickname “Wardo” on the backplate. “Dillon’s” is on the inside to the right while on the left it reads “Custom Made For Cam Ward Tony Jarrett”. Our consignor received the mask directly from Hurricanes equipment manager Wally Tatomir who stated Cam wore this in practice on multiple occasions. The mask shows light game use.
