Lot #265

This blue air-knit Team USA jersey by Nike is a size 56. Sewn to the left shoulder is the 1996 World Cup of Hockey Patch. Also worthy of mention is the fight strap which resides inside and a Nike bar code on the inside back hem.

Leetch was the New York Rangers 1st round selection in the 1986 NHL entry draft. He would spend his first 17 seasons of an 18-year career as a member of the roadway Blueshirts. Brian retired as one of the NHL’s all-time offensive leaders in scoring among defenseman. His 247 goals, 781 assists and 1028 points are numbers that will undoubtedly earn him a spot in the Hall of Fame.

While compiling these awesome statistics, Leetch won 2 Norris Trophies as the NHL’s best defenseman, the Calder Trophy for rookie of the year and the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP during his only Stanley Cup winning season. The Conn Smythe Trophy will forever tie him to the hearts of Rangers fans who waited for a Stanley Cup title for better than 50 years. Brian was 5 times a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star and was a fixture in the annual NHL All Star game. Leetch has proudly represented Team USA in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, the 1991 Canada Cup and the Olympics.

This jersey has real hockey wear and the Nike Bar Code in the back hem.  Since Leetch wore the captains "C" while playing in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, and we cannot see a "C" ever being on this shirt, we are calling it an authentic.
