These black and white Vaughn goalie pads were worn by Brian Hayward during play with the San Jose Sharks. Hayward’s career began with the Winnipeg Jets, where he would play for 4 seasons before a deal in the summer of 1986 sent him packing to Montreal where he would serve as Patrick Roy’s backup for the next 4 seasons. A year in Minnesota followed, which saw the North Stars make a Stanley Cup Finals appearance. The last stop on Brian’s NHL tour was in San Jose with the expansion Sharks where he played for 2 seasons before retiring. Brian shared the William M. Jennings Trophy for fewest goals allowed in the league with Patrick Roy 3 consecutive times spanning 1987-1989.
The pads shows nice game use and have "Hayward 1" stitched on the side. These pads will be accompanied by a letter from Brian Hayward.
