Description
Brett Lindros New York Islanders Black Bauer Game Used Stick Autograph
Lot #472
This black Bauer Supreme 3006 hockey stick was game used by Brett Lindros. The New York Islanders selected Lindros with the 9th overall pick in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. Brett, who is the younger brother of Eric, stood at 6’4” and played an intimidating brand of hockey. His rough and tumble power forward style cost him dearly as he had his playing career cut short by post concussion syndrome during just his 2nd NHL season leaving us all to wonder what might have been had he remained healthy. Brett’s NHL career began when the Islanders called him up from Kingston of the OHL during the 1994-95 season. Brett had played in 26 games in the OHL that season and had already scored 24 goals and 47 points. During his 33 game rookie call up, Lindros recorded 100 PIMS in 33 games played while wearing the traditional Islanders uniform. The 1995-96 season saw the Islanders experiment by going to new colors and a Fisherman crest. Lindros would play in just 18 games where he racked up 47 PIMS before he succumbed to post concussion syndrome, thus ending his career.

This black Bauer hockey stick has the player name “B Lindros” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Brett has autographed the heel. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
