This white Sher-Wood PMP 7000 hockey stick was game used by Bobby Smith while playing for the Montreal Canadiens. The Minnesota North Stars selected Smith with the 1st overall pick in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft. Smith began his NHL career in 1978-79 with the North Stars and played for the franchise for parts of 9 seasons that encompassed the beginning and end of his illustrious career. In between, Bobby spent parts of 7 seasons with the Montreal Canadiens where he won the only Stanley Cup of his career in four trips to the Finals. Smith was a 4-time NHL All Star who also captured the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s Rookie of the Year in 1979. In 1077 games played, Smith tallied 357 goals and 1036 points. Bobby also had the good fortune to partake in 184 playoff games during which time he racked up an impressive 160 points.
