Bobby Sheehan New York Raiders Sher-Wood Game Used Stick - Autographed
Lot #530
This Sher-Wood hockey stick was game used by Bobby Sheehan while playing for the 1972-73 New York Raiders.  Sheehan was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 3rd round of the 1969 NHL Amateur Draft.  He played for the Canadiens in 1969-70 and 1970-71 before heading to the California Golden Seals for the 1971-72 sesaaon.  Bobby jumped to the WHA for their 1st season in 1972-73 and played for the Raiders.  It turned out 1972-73 was Bobby's best season as he 35 goals and 88 points for the Raiders which was good for 2nd on the team behind only Ron Ward.  Bobby played for the Golden Blades/Knights in 1973-74 and then two more seasons in the WHA for the Oilers before returning to the NHL with Black Hawks for a full 1975-76 campaign.  Bobby went on to play for the Red Wings, Racers, Rangers, Rockies and Kings through the 1982-83 season before calling it a career.  All told he played in over 550 games in the NHL and WHA.

This Sher-Wood hockey stick is fully taped on the butt and blade.  Ths player name "Bailey" is stamped on the side but has been crossed out by the team.  Sheehan used this stick as it is the exact model and curve that we have seen in other Sheehan sticks.  The stick has been autographed and personalized to Barry's son Dick "To Dick Best of Luck Bob Sheehan".
