This grey Victoriaville Vic Ultra Glass hockey stick was game used by Bobby Nystrom. Nystrom was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1972 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders. Bobby joined the Isles for a brief time in 1972-73, and then became a full time Islander in 1973-74 until he retired after the 1985-86 season. Nystrom was a rugged two-way player who was considered one of the hardest workers on the Islanders. Although Bobby didn’t fight that often, he was also considered one of the best fighters in the NHL. Know as a clutch player in the playoffs, Bobby had 4 overtime game winning goals including May 24, 1980, when he scored the Stanley Cup winning goal against the Flyers for the Islanders 1st Cup of what would eventually be 4 consecutive Championships.
