Bobby Clarke Philadelphia Flyers Replica Jersey
Lot #439
This orange mesh jersey was manufactured by HSI. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Clarke in the 2nd round of the 1969 NHL Amateur Draft. It didn’t take long for Bobby to become the face of the franchise in Philadelphia. Bob is considered the greatest player in franchise history thanks to his 15-years of service to the City of Brotherly Love. Clarke exuded leadership and Captained the Flyers to back-to-back Stanley Cup titles in 1974 and 1975. He again led them to the Cup Finals a season later where the Flyers fell to the uprising of the Montreal Canadiens dynasty.

Clarke was an adept playmaker who, at the time of his retirement, ranked 4th all-time in assists and was 11th on the NHL’s all-time scoring list. In 1144 games, Clarke scored 358 goals and added 852 assists for a total of 1210 points. His mantel is impressive and full of hardware that includes 2 Stanley Cups, the 1972 Bill Masterton Trophy, the 1973 Lester B. Pearson Trophy, the 1983 Frank J Selke Trophy as the NHL’s best defensive forward and 3 Hart Trophies, won in 1973, 1975 and 1976 as the NHL’s Most Valuable Player. Clarke was also a prominent figure on the international scene during the 1970’s, as he represented Team Canada in the 1972 Summit Series and the 1976 Canada Cup. Bob helped the Flyers defeat the Soviets in a memorable contest in 1976 and also played in the 1979 Challenge Cup, a 3-game series against the Soviet Union. Clarke was 4-times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star and played in 8 NHL All Star Games. Clarke’s vaunted player number 16 was long ago retired to the rafters in Philadelphia. The Hall of Fame was simply put in place to honor players like Clarke.

This Philadelphia Flyers jersey does not have a size tag but measures out to a 50. The player name “Clarke” is on the back. His famous number “16” is on both sleeves and the back.
