This stick comes directly from the recently discovered Gunzo's collection. This Northland hockey stick was game used by All Star defenseman Bill White while playing for the Chicago Black Hawks. White was a star in the AHL for 7 season, a result of the lack of jobs in the 6-team NHL. The LA Kings acquired his rights in the 1967 Expansion Draft. White immediately became the Kings best defenseman. During the 1969-70 season, White was traded to the Black Hawks where he would play out the remainder of his career, 6 more seasons in all. With the Black Hawks, White was paired with Pat Stapleton, as they combined for one of the best defensive pairings of the decade. White was named a 2nd team NHL All Star 3 times and played in 6 consecutive All Star games.
This Northland hockey stick has the player name "White" on the side. It also has the Gunzo's stamp. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade.
