Bill Barber Philadelphia Flyers Goal Puck Philadelphia Flyers Puck Stanley Cup Season
Lot #397
This Philadelphia Flyers logo puck was used to score a goal by Hall of Famer Bill Barber on November 29, 1973, while the Flyers where on their way to their first Stanley Cup Championship. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Barber in the 1st round of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft. Barber made his NHL debut in 1972-73 with the Flyers where he played his entire 12-year NHL career. Considered one of the finest LW’s of his generation, Barber teamed with Bobby Clarke and Reggie Leach to form the ‘LCB’ line, one of the deadliest trios in the sport. Philadelphia would play in four Stanley Cup Finals during Barber’s tenure, winning back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1974 and 75. Barber scored a career best 50 Goals and 112 Points in 1975-76 and was 9-times a 30+ Goal scorer. Bill played in 6 NHL All Star Games and was a 3-time 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star. The Flyers retired Barber’s #7 to the rafters and Bill was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame with the class of 1990.

These goal pucks were only labeled for 2 seasons in the early 1970’s.
