This 8x10 B&W photo was autographed by Alain Caron. Caron, who was the property of the Chicago Blackhawks, was selected by Oakland in the 1967 expansion draft. He would go on to play in 58 games as an original member of the Seals during the NHL’s expansion season, as the league went from their Original 6 teams to 12. The following year, Caron briefly suited up for the Montreal Canadiens, it was to be his last NHL stop. After some time in the AHL, CHL and WHL, Caron became an original member of the Quebec Nordiques in 1972-73 as the WHA came into existence. Alain spent parts of 3 seasons in Quebec, before he was dealt to the Michigan Stags where he finished his career in 1974-75. In Caron’s 2 full years with the Nordiques, he scored better than 30 goals in each season despite playing in 68 and 59 games respectively. In 195 WHA games, Caron scored an impressive 82 goals.
