Al Secord Chicago Blackhawks White Canadien Game Used Stick
Lot #459

This white Canadien 6001 hockey stick was game used by Al Secord while playing for the Chicago Blackhawks. The Boston Bruins selected Secord in the 1st round of the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft. Secord began his NHL career with the Bruins in 1978-79 and spent parts of 3 seasons with the club that drafted him before joining the Blackhawks in 1980-81. Al next spent 7 years in Chicago, parts of two with the Maple Leafs, a partial season in Philadelphia and one final year with the Hawks before announcing his retirement. Not many players in the history of the sport have possessed the combination of ability with a sheer mean streak like Secord did. During his years with the Hawks, Secord had some staggering single season goal totals such as 54, 44 and 40. Triple digit PIMS totals were the norm with a single season career best of 303 coming in 1981-82. In fact, Secord is still the only player to net 40 goals and record 300 PIMS in a single season. Al played in 2 NHL All Star Games and netted 273 goals and amassed 2093 PIMS in 766 career regular season contests. The playoffs saw similar outputs from this power forward as Secord recorded 21 goals and 382 PIMS in 102 games of playoff action.

This white Canadien stick has the player name “Secord” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
