This white wool jersey was manufactured by Ebbets Field Flannels. MacNeil played parts of 11 NHL seasons with the Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Black Hawks, Rangers and Penguins. His final NHL season was the inaugural season for the Penguins in 1967-68. Following his playing career, MacNeil turned to coaching with the Montreal Voyageurs of the AHL, the top farm team for the Canadiens. MacNeil would coach in the NHL parts of 5 seasons with the Canadiens, Atlanta Flames and Calgary Flames.
