Al MacAdam Cleveland Barons Sher-Wood Game Used Stick
Lot #476

This Sher-Wood PMP 5052 hockey stick was game used by Al MacAdam while playing for the Cleveland Barons. The Philadelphia Flyers selected MacAdam in the 4th round of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft. MacAdam made his NHL debut with the Flyers in 1973-74 and won a Stanley Cup later that spring. The following off-season he was dealt to the Seals in exchange for Reggie Leach. Al spent a couple of years with the Seals and a couple more with the Cleveland Barons before joining the Minnesota North Stars in 1978-79. It was the start of a 6-year stint in Minnesota that preceded a final year in Vancouver. MacAdam was a 2-time All Star who won the 1979-80 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy. The 1979-80 playoffs saw MacAdam earn the reputation of Mr. Clutch, as he scored the Overtime series winner against Toronto in the first round and then scored the series clinching goal against the 4-time defending Stanley Cup Champion Montreal Canadiens in the second round as the North Stars advanced to the Semi-Finals.

This Sher-Wood stick has the player name “Mac Adam Al” stamped on the side. The player number “25” is written in black marker below the name. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It is date stamped "13 DEC 1977". The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
